Prize-giving for the 3HMA contest: “Social Point: the explosion of Social Games & the Return of Cálico Electrónico”

Next Monday the 14th of May 2012, at 7.00 p.m. there will be the prize-giving for the international videogame contest Three Headed Monkey Awards at the CaixaFòrum in Barcelona. At this award, the winners of the contest will be announced: Prize to the Best Videogame, the UPC Prize and the Audience’s Prize among all the amateur projects that have taken part in the contest, which started in 2012, with over 30 participating videogames.
Three prominent speakers from the field of videogames have been invited to attend the prize-giving, where they will present their latest products and trends in the field of videogames and digital animation:
– The creators of the studio Social Point, one of the leading studios developing social games, Andrés Bou and Horario Martos, who will be explaining the creation and growth of this company based in Barcelona that has produced well-known games such as Social Empires, Social Wars, Pool Master, Trial Madness or Super Crayon.
– The creator of Cálico Electrónico, Niko, who will present to the audience the first episode of the fourth season of Cálico Electrónico and will explain the new venture he has just started with his studio Nikotxan.
At the event there will also be member of the jury, with representatives from the main companies and institutions in the field of videogames: Ubisoft, RedStorm, Crytek, Digital Chocolate and Digital Lengends, as well as representatives from the critics, Meristation and Videoshock.
